Blake Swain

I’m Blake Swain. I’m thirteen years old and love to skateboard. I started skateboarding at the age of 10. What really got me into skating was a summer recreation camp with Ron Allen. He taught me a lot about skateboarding and had great positive energy. When I was younger I didn’t like team sports because the coaches were pushy, but skateboarding allows you freedom, creativity and working at your own pace. I live in the Sacramento area and my favorite parks are: Epic, 28th and B Street, and Power Inn. My favorite thing to skate is bowl and mini ramp. Some of my favorite tricks are: back smith 270 fakie, back disaster/ back revert, nollie back 360 and anything with a blunt in it. During the CASL 2009 season, I won first overall for street and at the December State Championships I placed first in street, second in bowl and third in mini ramp. My two favorite subjects in school are math and science. In five years, I plan on being am/pro and would like to win the Oregon Trifecta. Another of my likes is music and playing electric guitar. I listen to Beck and alternative rock. I think McDonald’s is evil!
